Rezistenta inox RPGS Sir Resistor

Construction and execution
Resistors RPGS 501-502-503-800-1500-1600-2000-2003 both supplied singly or in assembled groups of 2 or 4 units are devices designed for crowbar and filter applications and as such characterized by the high absorption capacity pulses of energy, of some MJs.

The ohmic values can range from 0.07Ω to 200 Ω. For the lowest resistive values the resistive element is a spiral-wound strip inserted directly into a tube made of insulating material, filled with a suitable inorganic filler, and then introduced into the stainless steel case; for the highest ohmic values, the resistive element is a spiral wound on a suitably shaped ceramic tube inserted, as in the previous case, in the stainless steel case, always filled with the inorganic filler.

The stainless steel case provides protection against any deflagration of the resistive element, potentially activated by the high energy levels characteristic of the application. In some applications, such as RPGS 300-600-800, the enclosure can also be an anodized aluminum profile.

The RPGS resistors have IP 66 environmental protection level and the electrical terminations can be either cable or with M12 threaded element.

Features

Power range from 300 W to 2’000 W (for single tubular) – higher powers for groups with single tubes connected in series or parallel.
Note: given the characteristic application, for RPGS resistors the characteristic parameter is not the power, but the absorbable energy, which can reach several MJs.
Resistance range from 0.05 Ω up to 200 Ω
